Build the Your Dream Log Home With Us
All of our homes are built with hand-picked, full-length logs that are harvested in Montana, Idaho, and Canada. Each log is hand-peeled, scribed, and notched with attention to detail, creating the tightest fit possible. We do not use machinery to process our logs.
Each of our basic packages includes: purchasing the logs, manufacturing the log shell to your plan specifications, shipping the log shell to your foundation site, assisting in the reassembly, and cutting out the door and window openings.
Log Styles
The style of your logs can give your new home distinctive style and character. We design and build homes with the following log styles:
Full Scribe
The logs are notched on the ends and “V”-notched the entire length of the log. Each log fits tightly on the log below, leaving no gap. Upon assembly, the “V” notch is filled with insulation and caulked.
Montana Homestead Dovetail
The logs are flattened and the ends are dovetailed. The gaps between the logs are filled with “Grip Strip” insulation and chinked.
Chinker
The logs are notched on the ends with the rest of the log left whole. The gaps between the logs are filled with “Grip Strip” insulation and chinked.
